This Privacy Policy explains how Netherlands Institute of Multiparty Democracy (we refer to these as "NIMD", “We”, “Us”, “Our” or “Ourselves”) collects, uses, and shares your personal information in connection with the Website, Application, product, software, or service that links to this Privacy Policy. The defined terms in this Privacy Policy shall have the same meaning as mentioned in the Terms of Use unless further specified.

When You register an Account and use the Application/Website, We collect and use the information You provide during that process. The information that We collect includes without limitation;

Organization and Contacts Information, such as your employer or organizations that You are a member of, information about your colleagues or those within your organization, your status with an organization, and similar data;

Usage Information and Browsing History, such as usage metrics (including usage rates, occurrences of technical errors, diagnostic reports, settings preferences, backup information, API calls, and other logs), content interactions (including searches, views, downloads, prints, shares, streams, and display or playback details), and user journey history (including clickstreams and page navigation, URLs, timestamps, content viewed or searched for, page response times, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and download errors), advertising interactions (including when and how You interact with marketing and advertising materials, click rates, purchases or next steps You may make after seeing an advertisement, and marketing preferences), and similar data.
How we collect information
2.1 We may collect your information/data directly from You as well as automatically through your use of Our Application/Website such as, accessing, using, or downloading content from Us. You have the right not to provide your personal information but please note that We may not be able to provide You the Services or You may not be able to access the Contents and Services from the Application/Website or We may not be able to response your complaints to Us.
2.2 We will collect your personal information/data when you register as User of the Application/Website, log into your Account to use Our Services on the Application/Website, engage in any activity or event with us or communicate with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise.
2.3 The Application/Website receives and stores your related information and your current location when You use Our Service, create or submit user content through Our Application/Website.
2.4 The Application/Website shall automatically collect certain information mentioned above such as, without limitation, IP address, geographical location, device identifiers, website browser information (including browser type, browsing history, page view statistics, usage information, cookies and log data and any other tracking technologies) upon your usage of any Service on the Application/Website to help improve the performance of the system and to provide You better service.
2.5 You can withdraw your consent giving Us the permission to collect your information, in which case We will cease to collect or use your data. As a result, You may not access the Services or the Application/Website or have limited access.

Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;

3.2 We may disclose your information for the following reasons:
To law enforcement agencies, governmental and regulatory authorities or any other organization as required by any or all applicable law, regulation or commercial arrangement;
To Our legal advisors and other professional advisors for establishing, exercising or defending Our legal rights;
Where We believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent a threat to life, health or security of an individual or corporate entity, investigate suspected unlawful activity, such as fraud, privacy, and infringement of intellectual property; and
To Our trusted service providers, agents, business partners and sub-contractors who work on Our behalf, who do not have an independent use of the information We disclose to them and who have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this Privacy Policy for solely internal administrative and operational purposes.
3.3 You provide Us the consent and continue to provide the consent by using the Application/Website to Our disclosure of your information for the reasons described in clause 3.2.
How We Manage your information – User information protection
4.1 We use a range of physical, electronic and other security measures to protect security, confidentiality and integrity of the personal information submitted to Us. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or via mobile device, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, We cannot guarantee its absolute security. According to the nature of the Internet, We cannot take responsibility for any unauthorized access, unlawful interceptions or loss of personal information in taking steps to protect your personal information for Our purposes.
4.2 We will neither use your mail address or other information for the purpose of sending unsolicited messages or information nor share with or sell it to any third party for such use.
Data Retention and Account Termination
5.1 Upon termination of your Account, We will remove the user profile from Our system. However, We will retain your personal information and data for the purposes mentioned under this Privacy Policy unless otherwise prohibited by law.
5.2 The User’s data shall be kept for 5 years or any specific duration permitted under law.
5.3 We may maintain your personal information/data for as long as the User is active and for a reasonable time We deem necessary thereafter.
Modifications of Privacy Policy
6.1 We may revise, change, modify or update this Privacy Policy at Our sole discretion at any time. It will immediately come into effect upon posting by Us, and if You use the Application/Website after such revision, change, modification or update, it shall be the binding acceptance by You of the revision, change, modification or update of the Privacy Policy. Provided however, if there is any change in Privacy Policy, We will take reasonable steps to notify You of such change, via banner on the website, a notice of the change on the log-in page of the Application/Website, email notification or another method or combination of methods.
